MINH NGUYEN is a writer and exhibitions organizer from Saigon, Vietnam and currently living in Chicago, IL. She graduated from University of Washington with a Bachelor's degree in Literature and is attending School of the Art Institute for a Master's degree in Modern and Contemporary Art. Her focus on contemporary Asian art is framed by interests in Asian post-socialism, philosophy of art, and systems of aesthetic education. Her writing has appeared in Art in America, AQNB, ArtSlant, and Art Practical. She has curated exhibitions at Wing Luke Museum, King Street Station, SOIL Gallery, and Seattle Asian Art Museum.
NICKY NI is an M.A. candidate in Art History and Arts Administration at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), where she also received her B.A. in Art History. Additionally, she holds a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering and French from Northwestern University. Her research interests include computer-based art that involves real-time simulation and the reception of contemporary Chinese art in a global context. Niis co-founder of LITHIUM, a Chicago-based gallery dedicated to time-based art. Previously, she has assisted with the exhibition, Zhang Peili: Record. Repeat. at the Art Institute of Chicago. She has worked at the Hyde Park Art Center, The Philadelphia Museum of Art, and was a Graduate Curatorial Fellow at the Sullivan Galleries of SAIC.
RAKSHA THAKUR is the editor of Unbrackish, the Graduate Journal, and a graduate student in the New Arts Journalism program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She holds an Honors undergraduate degree and a Master’s in English Literature from the University of Delhi. She worked as an associate editor in New Delhi, a reviewer for the India International Centre (IIC) in New Delhi, and an editorial assistant for the department of Institutional Advancement at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her areas of interest are primarily cultural criticism, literature, narrative, and satire. Her writing addresses themes such as the role of outsider figures and fissures in cultural metanarratives. She performed sketch comedy with the Tadpole Repertory in New Delhi, and was part of The Onion Writing Workshop 2018. She is currently based in Chicago.
