The ASIA//TECHNICS symposium will seek to re-imagine notions of nation, labour, and culture as they are transformed by the flows of techno-capital in a multiplicity of Asias. We cast Asian futurity into relief against AI-assisted technologies that entertain and monitor, special economic zones that bring prosperity and displacement, and other sites responsible for creating Asia’s polymorphous technical cultures.
Co-hosted by Asian and Asian American Students at SAIC (AAASS).
This symposium is generously made possible by SAIC's Student Government, Department of Visual and Critical Studies, Department of Art History, Office of Multicultural Affairs, and the Diversity Advisory Group.
Many thanks to Kevin Rogan (CFP poster design) & Mara Iksander (Assistant Organizer)!
